The island is located right south of town of Ekenäs/Tammisaari, 5km by paddling or 16km by car. The privately owned island is fully surrounded by the archipelago. North are the water bodys of Båssafjärden and Stadsfjärden, in the west Vitsansströmmen and Odenso sundet. South of the island is somewhat more open archipelago and smoother cliffs between Notholmsströmmen and Grobbfjärden. The west is special with the man and horse powered channel construction from 1930's. The much appreciated paddle around the island is 18km starting from shores of Gullö, a daytrip by itself. In between Ekenäs and Gullö is the Ramsholmen park and another natural channel, a local miniature "Amazonas" with overhanging trees.
Paddle touring can be done locally, while in addition we are going to shoot for the Ekenäs Archipelgo National Park as one daytour. The third day will be spent in the Tammisaari east archipelago or possibly to the west on the open waters surrounding Hanko peninsula and impressive cliff formations on the nearby skerries. After the third day by morning we are unlikely returning to the cottage.
We are likely to do some of the transfers to paddling waters by car from our basecamp. From here you will enroll as one of 4-8 adventurers who do not necessarily know each other from before. Once the minimum of 4 paricipants has registered the slot is secured by paying the participant fee. We meet at 14:00 and end the tour at 16:00 on the third day. We will visit the most iconic places of the Finnish archipelago in Raseborg south of Ekenäs. Part of the desinations are not public and we ask that they are not tagged as recommended visitingplaces in printed or electronic social media. We return to the cottage for the night.
The tour is open for other participants and requires a minimum of 4 participants. Once the minimum has been enrolled we ask you to secure your slot by payment of the participant fee.
